The New Look Grill Room
15th June, 2009
The Grill Room Upstairs at The Horse & Plough has a new look – Come and try our new menu which started Saturday 15th August!
The new look Grill Room Upstairs at The Horse & Plough opened its doors after a short refurbishment on Friday 14th August. The launch party was well recieved with the samples of the new menu creating excitement and conversation, particularly amongst those who enjoy a good steak with the new 16oz Rump, Sirloin and T-Bone Steaks now available along with a new Mixed Grill.
The new more contemporary look restaurant was the combined effort of head chef Stewart Watson, Restaurant Supervisor Beth Noy and Bartsch Inns company director Sharon Bartsch who is responsible for the design “I wanted to create something that was going to be comfortable and appeal to all ages”. Based on the feedback from the opening night and the weeks following It was Mission Accomplished!
This did however mean losing the beautiful hand painted murals that have created so much conversation over the years but as Bartsch Inns Managing Director Karl Bartsch states “The murals have been part of this restaurant for a long time and I will be sad to see them go, however they have been there for 11 years now and it is time to move forward and create a new dining experience”. The restaurant is now back open as usual to make a booking and to come and see the new look call 01949 839313 or visit www.grillroombingham.com
