October Menus Now Available!

The new October menus for The Grill Room – Upstairs at The Horse & Plough are now available to download from here.
A real talking point will be addition of Kangaroo and Ostrich steaks to the grill section. Ostrich meat is low in fat and well known for being a ‘healthy’ red meat. Kangaroo meat is produced only from free ranging wild animals living on land owned by people and not produced by organised farming. The meat is low in fat and high in protein and is stronger in flavor than the meat from commercially raised food animals. It is considered to be quite tender.
Other new items on the menu include a Trio of Pork which includes a confit belly pork, a spicy sausage and smoked bacon served with a roasted root vegetable cake spiced pear, red cabbage a mini Yorkshire pudding and red onion gravy, or for those who don’t want meat a delicious butternut squash & cashew nut curry on coconut and coriander rice with a garlic naan.
There is also a new Set Menu available with the prices remaining the same at two courses for £11.95 or three for £13.95 served as before Tuesday’s to Thursdays 7.00pm – 9.15pm
